学校：Bishop Druitt College（オ―ストラリア）
期間：３月２７日～６月２２日
3月27日にオーストラリアに来て、約一週間が経ちました。
ちょうど学校が4連休だったので、次の日にはテーマパークに行きました。アトラクションの待ち時間に聞こえてくる言葉を聞いてから、本当に海外へ来たんだなと実感しました。別の日にはカンガルーを見に行ったり、サーフィンをしたり、たくさんのことを経験させてくれました。家では好きな時に好きなものを食べたり飲んだり、自分の家のように過ごしてと言ってくれました。とても暖かく迎えてくれたホストファミリーにとても感謝しています。
そして今日から学校へ行きました。見渡すと色々な国の人がいてびっくりしました。目が合うと声をかけてくれる先生や生徒がいてとても嬉しかったです。特にホストファミリーの友達は気さくに話しかけてくれました。しかしまだ自分が上手に会話をできていないなと感じることがよくあります。これから約3ヶ月、自分からたくさんの人とコミュニケーションをとり、用意していただいたこの大事なチャンスをものにできるようにこれから生活していきたいです。
I arrived in Australia on March 27, and it has been about a week.
It was just a four-day school holiday, so the day after I arrived, we went to a theme park. After hearing the language I heard while waiting for the attractions, I realized that I had really come to a foreign country. Another day we went to see kangaroos, surfed, and experienced many other things. At home, they told me I could eat and drink whatever I wanted whenever I wanted and spend time as if I was in my own home. I am very grateful to my host family who welcomed me very warmly.
And today I went to school. When I looked around, I was surprised to see people from many different countries. I was very happy to see teachers and students who called out to me when they saw me. Especially, my host family friends were very friendly to me. However, I often feel that I am still not good at conversing with them. For the next three months, I would like to communicate with many people on my own and make the most of this important opportunity that has been provided to me.
