学校：Bishop Druitt College

先週の火曜日は大晦日の日に天候が悪くて延期になった花火をJetty Beachに見に行きました。花火の前にアイスを買いに行こうとしたら、花火を見に来た人がたくさん並んでいて諦めました。夜だったけど海に入りながら花火を見ている人もいました。短い時間だったけどとても綺麗でした。

水曜日は西高に来ていたカリスがオーストラリアに帰ってきたのでいっしょにSawtellに行きました。その日はとても暑かったのでアイスを食べたり、カフェでお話をしたりしました。カリスとは初めて日本で会ったので、オーストラリアで会えているのがとても不思議な感覚でした。久しぶりに会えて、お話しできたので楽しかったです。

先々週から私はホストファザーの家で過ごしていますが、金曜日はコナーとジェイミーとテニスをした後ホストマザーの家に行って4人でプールに入りました。オーストラリアではほとんどのお家に大きいプールがあるので羨ましいです。

土曜日、日曜日は夕方にホストマザーの家に行ってビーチにお散歩をしに行ったり、みんなでご飯を食べたりしました。

今回で最後のレポートとなります。私はホリデーとかぶっていて、約3週間しか学校に行けなかったですが、学校の子とショッピングモールに行ったり、ホリデーもホストファミリーにシドニーに連れて行ってもらったり、動物園に連れて行ってもらったり、たくさんの経験をさせてもらえました。飛行機に乗る前から1人で海外で過ごすのは不安に感じていましたが、ホストファミリーも学校の友達もみんな優しくしてくれて本当に充実した2ヶ月を過ごすことができました。改めて留学してよかったと思いました。ありがとうございました。

I went to the Jetty Beach last Tuesday to see the fireworks that were postponed due to bad weather on New Year’s Eve.

When we tried to buy ice cream before fireworks, there were a lot of people in line, so I gave up. It was night time, but there were people in the sea watching the fireworks. It was short time, but it was very beautiful.

On Wednesday, I went to the Sawtell with Carys, who came to my school. It was hot that day, so we ate ice cream and talked at a cafe. I first met Cary’s in Japan, so it was strange to meet her in Australia. It was fun to see her and talk to her for the first time in a while.

Since two weeks ago, I have been staying at my host father’s house, but on Friday, after playing tennis with Connor and Jamie, we went to my host mother’s house and all four of us went swimming in the pool. I’m jealous that most houses in Australia have large pool.

On Saturday and Sunday, we went to host mother’s house in the evening to take a walk on the beach and have dinner together.

This is the final report. I was on holiday, so I could only go to school for about three weeks, but I had many experiences, such as going to the shopping mall with friends, going to Sydney with my host family during the holidays, and going to the zoo. I was anxious about spending time alone overseas even before I get on the plane, but my host family and school friends were all kind to me, and I was able to have a fulfilling two months. I realized once again that studying abroad was a good decision. Thank you very much.
