活動報告

先週の週末はサイクリングをしました。オーストラリアは自転車用の道路が多くあり、コフスハーバーの景色をゆっくりと楽しむことができました。また、サイクリング中には、カンガルーやワラビーなどの動物も見かけて、自分の住んでいる街では中々見かけることができないのでよかったです。学校では体育祭がありました。幼稚園児から高校生まで参加するので、規模が大きくスタジアムでの開催でした。日本の体育祭とは違い、当日のエントリーで競技に参加しました。僕は100メートル走とハンドボール投げに出場しました。みんなで競争したり、仲間と声を掛け合って応援したりしてとても盛り上がりました。休憩時間はウノをしましたが、学年関係なく色々な人と触れ合うことができてとても良い1日となりました。夕飯は日本のカレーとトンカツでした。ライリーくんのお母さんはとても料理が上手で、インドカレー、タイカレーなどタイカレーなど様々なカレーを作ってくれます。どのカレーも具材や味が違いますが、どれも美味しく味の文化の違いについて実感します。おいしい夕食を食べると、1日の疲れも吹っ飛びます。来週から3週間冬休みに入ってしまうので、学校での時間をもっと充実させたいです。

A month has passed since I came to Australia. Australia has many roads for bicycles, and I was able to enjoy the scenery of Coffs Harbour. Also, while cycling, I was glad to see animals such as kangaroos and wallabies, which I can’t see easily in the city where I live. There was a school festival at school. Since kindergarten to high school students participated, the scale was large, and it was held in a stadium, which was different from the sports festivals in Japan, I was able to enter the competition on the day. We competed and cheered each other on. I played Uno during break time, but it was a great day because I was able to interact with various people regardless of grade. For dinner we had Japanese curry and tonkatsu. Riley’s mother is a very good cook and makes various curries such as Indian and Thai curry. Each curry had a different taste depending on the ingredients, but they were all delicious and I could feel that each culture has unique tastes. I feel that eating a delicious dinner can wash away the fatigue of the day. I want to make the most of my time at school as winter break will start in three weeks from next week.
