今週は、祝日があり友達の家族とフェアに行きました。様々な屋台がありました。友達とアクセサリーや手作りのお菓子を買ったり蛇やトカゲを見たりしました。友達の家族は農業を営んでいるため外来植物や虫や動物に詳しく、わたしはとても驚きました。
土曜日には、Bellingenのフェアに行きました。そこでは月に１回大きなフェアが開かれ１００件くらいのお店が出ていました。沢山のハンドメイド商品がありました。様々な国の食べ物、雑貨があり多くの人でにぎわっておりとてもワクワクしました。この町には日本人も何人かいました。オーストラリアに来てこんなにたくさんの日本人にあったのは初めてでした。帰りに街の中のカフェに行きました。街並みは海外らしく、多くの人でにぎわいながらもみんなリラックスしておりとても素敵な雰囲気でした。
日曜日にはホストファミリーの友達家族が遊びに来ました。二人の子どもと遊びました。お寿司を作るのを手伝いました。私は、魚をさばいたこと寿司を握ったこともないのでグリフィンがほとんど作りました。いつか魚をさばけるようになりたいです。わたしは、お姉ちゃんと一緒に日本の折り紙や知育菓子を使って遊びました。弟はまだ小さくてとてもかわいかったです。様々な年代の方々と仲良くさせてもらい色々な話ができてとてもうれしいです。とても充実した１週間でした。
I went to fair with my friend’s family the public holiday. There were a lot of shops. We bought accessories and homemade chocolate. We also watched snakes and lizards. My friend’s family live on a farm so they knew lots of information about weeds, animals and insects so I was surprised.
On Saturday we went to Bellingen. There was a fair which is held once a month with more than 100 shops. I was excited because there was a lot of food from different countries and also a lot of goods. I could also see some Japanese people so I was surprised. We went to Bellingen town, I liked this town because it had beautiful buildings and the people were relaxed and enjoying their weekend. My host mother took me to a cafe. I was really able to enjoy this town.
On Sunday, my host family’s friends came to the house and we made sushi. But I don’t know how to cut fish and to make sushi so Griffin made most of it. I want to practice making sushi when I come back to Japan. I played with their two kids and I enjoyed doing origami and Japanese toy snack with their daughter. Their son was young and cute. This week I was able to talk and hang out with various generations people so it has been a fulfilling time.
