今週のホスピタリティの授業ではアップルパイを作りました。生地を巻いて作る方法は初めてでしたが、楽しかったです。家でも試してみようと思います。13日はBDCの運動会の日でしたが、競技には参加しないのでホストファミリーとお出かけをしました。お昼には、レストランでお昼ご飯を食べました。またカフェに行き、ケーキを食べました。このカフェでチーズケーキを頼もうとしたのですがこの日は販売していないそうで、食べることができませんでした。代わりに注文したケーキはとても美味しかったのでよかったです。それから、リオくんの家の会社を見ました。リオくんのお兄ちゃんの友達や、BDCの卒業生が働いていました。スーツを着ていないところが日本とは違うなと感じました。みんな明るくて素敵だと感じました。見学をした後は、会社の周りを歩きました。馬が道路を渡っていたのが面白かったです。残りの生活も大切に過ごしたいと思います。

In this week’s Hospitality class, I made an apple pie. It was my first time wrapping the dough, but I enjoyed it. I’m going to try it at my house. On the 13th, BDC had a sports day, but I didn’t participate, so I went out with my host family. At lunchtime, we ate at a restaurant. We also went to a café and had a cake. We tried to order cheesecake at this café, but I heard that they didn’t sell it that day, so we couldn’t eat it. The cake we ordered instead of the cheesecake was tasty, so it was okay. Then, I visited Leo’s family’s company. Leo’s brother’s friend and BDC graduates worked at this company. I noticed that not wearing suits was a difference between Japan and Australia. Everyone looked cheerful, so I felt wonderful. After the tour, I walked around the company. It was funny to see a horse crossing the road. I would like to spend the rest of my life in Australia carefully.
