学校: Bishop Druitt College

4月21日に、以前留学生として西高に来ていたグリフィン君に会いました。彼は今違う学校に通っているようです。この日は美桜ちゃんとグリフィンと一緒にビーチを歩いたり、フィッシュアンドチップスを食べながら、学校での出来事や大学で勉強したいことなどについて話しました。去年まで日本語の勉強をしていたそうです。また、私達にカンガルーのストラップをくれました。可愛かったし、とっても嬉しかったです。私は5月8日に18歳になり、選挙にも参加することができる年齢になりました。そして、オーストラリアでも選挙に参加できる年齢は18歳からだそうです。ホストファミリーからは帽子やストラップなどのプレゼントを貰いました。大切に使いたいと思います。また、ホスピタリティの時間では先生達に向けてのカフェ的な物をしました。私達のグループはウエイターの仕事をしました。注文された物を作る係の生徒達の手際が良く、本格的なコーヒーを自分で淹れられることはすごいと思いました。授業終わりに余ったチョコレートチーズケーキを食べさせてもらいました。食べる前はチョコレートとチーズケーキって合うのかなと疑問に思いましたがとても美味しかったです。PDHPEのクラスでは、ヨガをやりました。初めてのヨガで、見ているだけだと簡単そうに見えるのですが凄く疲れました。中学の時にやった体幹トレーニングと少し似ていて、筋肉痛になりそうです。長期休みで会えなかった友達と沢山お話ししたいです。

On 21st April, Mio and I met Griffin, who came to Uedanishi as an exchange student. I heard that he goes to a different school  now. On this day, we walked to the beach and talked about school and what we want to study at university while eating fish& chips. I heard that he was studying Japanese until last year. Also, he gave us a kangaroo strap. It was cute, and I was happy. I became 18 on May 8th, so I could participate in the election. In Australia, I heard the age to participate in elections is 18. From my host family, I received gifts such as hats and straps. I will treasure it. Also, in Hospitality class, I did a cafe for the teachers. Our group worked as waiters. Students who worked as chefs were efficient. I thought it was amazing that they could make authentic coffee. After the class, I got to eat the extra chocolate cheesecake. Before I ate it, I wondered if it goes well but it was really tasty. In PDHPE class, I did yoga for the first time in my life. It looked easy but it was hard. It seemed like core training that I did in junior high school. I feel like my muscles will be sore the next day. I would like to talk with my friends who I couldn’t talk to during a long vacation.
