期間：2月4日〜4月22日
4月9日から4日間スクールキャンプに行ってきました。スクールキャンプではマウンテンバイク、ハイキング、ロッククライミングがあり自分がやりたいものを選択します。私はハイキングとロッククライミング(ボルダリング)をしました。1日目に5km歩き2日目にロッククライミング、3日目に10km歩き、そして4日目に5km歩きました。
まずハイキングでは自分の持ってきた荷物を一つのリュックにまとめます。その荷物をずっと背負ってビーチを歩いたり山道を歩いたりしたのでとても体力的にもキツかったです。人生で1番辛かったハイキングですが、友達と声を掛け合いながら最後まで歩くことが出来ました。また、ロッククライミングをする前、高い所を登るのが怖くてとても不安でしたが、友達が応援してくれたので最後まで登ることが出来ました。
そして4日間のご飯は自分たちで作りました。3人ほどのペアになり野菜を切る人、料理をする人、洗い物をする人に分担しました。自分達で作った料理は思っていた以上に美味しくてビックリしました。
最後の夜に班のみんなでビーチウォークに行きました。そこでインストラクターの方がチョコレートをくれてみんなで星空を見ました。私は運よく流れ星を見ることができ、この4日間頑張ってよかったなとも思いました。そして、この4日間でオーストラリアの好きなところを見つけました。それは男女関係なく仲良く話すところ、誰かが困っていたり辛い時に気さくに声をかけてくれるところです。とても良い文化だと思います。このキャンプに参加出来る機会をくれたCCGS、上田西高校の先生方、家族にとても感謝しています。日本に帰国するまで1週間しかないです。残りの1週間沢山の思い出を作っていきたいです。
I went to school camping for 4days.
In the school camp, There are mountain biking, hiking and rock climbing and you can choose what you want to do. I did hiking and rock climbing.
I walked 5km on the first day, rock climbing on the second day, walked 10km on the third day, and walked 5km on the fourth day.
First of all, when hiking, I put my luggage together in one backpack. It was very physically hard because I walked on the beach and walked on the mountain road with that luggage on my back all the time. It was the hardest hike in my life, but I was able to walk to the end while talking to my friends. Also, before rock climbing, I was very worried because I was afraid of climbing high places, but my friend supported me, so I was able to climb to the end.
And we made our own meals for 4 days. I shared a tent with 3 people who cut vegetables, cooked, and washed dishes. I was surprised that the food we made ourselves was more delicious than I expected.
On the last night, everyone in the group went on a beach walk. So the instructor gave us all chocolate and we all looked at the starry sky. I was lucky enough to see a shooting star, and I was glad that I did my best for the past 4 days. And in the past 4 days, I found favorite things in Australia. They talk to each other regardless of gender, and someone talks to you casually when you’re in trouble or having a hard time. I think it’s a very good culture.
I am very grateful to teachers of CCGS and Ueda Nishi High School for giving me the opportunity to participate in this camp.
I only have one week to go back to Japan.
I want to make a lot of memories for the rest of the week.
