学校：Bishop Druitt College（オ―ストラリア）

期間：令和５年１１月１８日～令和６年１月１８日

月、火曜日もシドニーで過ごしました。シドニーでの５日間、とても充実していて過ぎるのが早かったです。オペラハウスやハーバーブリッジなどオーストラリアで有名な建物も見ることができてよかったです。

休み中は勉強をしたり、コナーやジェイミーとゲームをしたりしています。

そして土曜日はテニスをしました。私はホストマザーと一緒にやりました。コナーとジェイミーは小さい頃からテニスを習っているのでとても上手でした。私はあまりテニスをやったことがないのでうまくできないですが、前回やった時よりもラリーを続けることができたので嬉しかったです。

クリスマスイブの24日はゲームをしました。説明を聞いてもルールがよく理解できず、難しかったのですが、チーム戦だったので助けてもらいながらなんとかやることができました。そしてディナーの後イルミネーションを見に行きました。多くの家や庭やガレージがライトアップされていてとても綺麗でした。

オーストラリアではクリスマスをとても大事にしているんだと感じたし、夏にクリスマスを迎えるのも少し不思議だなと感じました。海外のクリスマスの雰囲気を感じることができてとてもたのしかったです。

On Monday and Tuesday, I spent in Sydney. The five days in Sydney were very fulfilling and went quickly.

I was able to see famous buildings in Australia like the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge, which was  great.

During holiday, I studied and played games with Connor and Jamie.

On Saturday, I played tennis. I played with my host mother. Connor and Jamie have been learning tennis since they were young, so they were very good.

I haven’t played much tennis before, so I couldn’t do it well, but I was happy that I was able to keep rallying more than last time.

On Christmas Eve, the 24th, we played games. Even though I listened to the explanations, I couldn’t understand the rules well, and it was difficult, but since it was team game, I was able to manage with some help. After dinner, we went to see the illuminations. Many hoses, yards, and garages were lit up and it was very beautiful.

I felt that Australians value Christmas a lot, and it felt a little strange to celebrate Christmas in summer.

I had a lot of fun experiencing the atmosphere of Christmas overseas.
