活動報告

留学に来てあっという間に３週間がたちました。暮らしには慣れてきました。学校生活のなかでも顔見知りが増えて馴染んできました。新しく話しかけてくれるも増えてとてもうれしいです。しかし、私の英語力の課題も多く見えてきました。これからもっと勉強して解決していきたいです。

今週の日曜日には、ホストファミリーにツリートップ・アドベンチャー・パークという場所に連れて行ってもらいました。私は、はじめは木のアスレチックをイメージしていましたが実際は想像以上にスリルがありました。様々なコースがあり命綱をつなぎながら進んでいきます。難しいコースは、腕の筋肉をすごく使い疲れました。木の上には多くの障害物がありジップラインで滑ったりしながらゴールに進みます。はじめてジップラインを使ったときはすごい高さで驚きました。オーストラリアに来てから思い切ってチャレンジする力がよりついた気がします。上空２０メートルの木の上を飛んだり、渡ったりする経験は初めてでとても楽しめました。木の中を渡りながらオーストラリアの自然を満喫することができました。帰りにスーパーに行きました。毎週よく行きます。オーストラリアには様々な国の出身の人が集まっているため多くの種類の食べ物があるように感じます。また、街やモールで見かける人もそれぞれの国の服を着ていたりして多文化に触れることができます。モールには、すしを売っている場所があり私も食べました。オーストラリアでもとても人気のようです。日本のすしとはちがいほとんど海苔巻きのようになっています。とてもおいしかったです。オーストラリアではさまざまな国の人に出会えるのでもっと色々な文化に触れて自分の視野を広げていきたいです。

Three weeks have passed since I came to study abroad. I’ve gotten used to life in Australia. I have also gotten used to school life and have made more friends. I am very happy to have new people to talk to. But I have noticed a problem with my English ability and I want to study hard to solve it.

On Sunday my host family took me to a place called Tree Tops Adventure. At first, I imagined it was just an athletic activity, but it was more thrilling than I imagined. There were many courses and I progressed with a safety harness. The most difficult course required a lot of arm muscles. Aim for the goal while crossing the obstacles on the tree and using the zip line. At first using zip line is scary because it was so high. I felt grown up to challenge my mind more than when I lived in Japan. It was my first time to be in trees higher than 20 meters and I really enjoyed it and while crossing the trees, I was able to fully enjoy the nature of Australia. When I went back home, I went to a grocery store. I often to go. I feel there are foods from many different countries in Australian grocery stores because there are people from many different countries in Australia. In the mall there is a sushi shop. I ate Australian sushi an it tased good. Australian sushi are almost all the norimaki type. In Australia, I am able to meet people from many different countries, so I want to experience more cultures and want to step out of my comfort zone.
