活動報告

金曜日の夜に教会に行き、お話を聞きました。そこで習ったことは自分が1番お金をかけている3つのことは自分のことをよく表しているということです。10代が1番お金を使っているものは服、2番目に食べ物3番目にゲームで今まで考えたことがなかったので、とても聞いていて興味を持ちました。私は歴史に興味があり日曜日にJewish博物館に行きました。戦争の後オーストラリアにユダヤ人の人たちが移住したためJewish 博物館がありました。そこではホローコストのことや遺品、ユダヤ人で生き残った人の話を聞くことが出来ました。1番驚いたことはスクリーンに実際にホロコーストなどを経験した人が居りマイクに向かって質問をすると事前に録画した映像で返答をしていました。すごく新しく感動しました。実際に戦争や昔に起こった出来事を経験した人たちが少なくなり、次の世代の人にそのお話を伝える機会がなくなっている中これがあれば何年先の子孫にも伝えられるなと思いました。やはり実際に自分で質問して話を聞くのと、文章や動画で残してあるものを見ることではとても大きい差があると思います。少し昔に原爆資料館に訪れましたがその時はそのようなものが無かったのでそこが違う点でした。日本は戦争を実際に体験した人が少なくなってお話を直接聞く機会が少なくなっているという問題に直面しているのでこれを取り入れることで実際ではないですが、もっと身に感じて歴史を学ぶ事ができると思います。また博物館にはガラスの置物がありその中に水が溜まっていました。天井から雫が垂れ、それは150万滴の水でホロコーストで殺害された子供の涙を象徴されていました。写真や資料だけではなく違う方法で惨さを表現していてとても印象に残りました。日本はユダヤに関係がないと思っていましたが、杉原千畝さんという日本人がナチス・ドイツによって迫害されていた多くのユダヤ人にビザを発給し、彼らの亡命を手助けしたということが書いてありました。日本人も関係していたことを知り驚きました。生き残った方の一言”It is easy to respect and have empathy for people who are similar to you. Your challenge is to do the same for those who may be different from you.” 自分と似たような人達を尊敬したり同情することは簡単ですが、あなたの挑戦は自分とは違う人たちに対し同じことをする事です。この言葉が心に残っています。戦争や暗殺は絶対に起きてはいけない事です。これを忘れない事が1番大切な事だと私は思います。

I went to church on Friday night and I listened to a story.  I learnt about the three things teens spend their money on and how they represent us .I’ve never thought about it before, so I was very interested in it.
I like history so I went to Jewish museum on Sunday. Many Jews immigrated to Australia after the war, and started the Jewish museum. I was able to listen stories about the holocaust, articles of the deceased and Jewish survivors. The most surprising thing was there was a person who actually experienced the Holocaust on the screen, and when I asked questions into the microphone, the person answered me . It was replying with a pre-recorded video. It was new technology and needed a bit more updating, but it was a very useful thing because I could ask it whatever questions I wanted . The number of people who actually experienced wars are decreasing, but there are fewer opportunities to listen to their stories to the next generation. I think there is a big difference between actually asking questions and listening to person  and watching video or documentary. I visited the Atomic Bomb Museum in Hiroshima long time  ago, but at that time there was nothing like that, so it was very different. Japan is facing the problem that the number of people who actually experienced the war is decreasing and the opportunity to listen the story in person are decreasing. If we use it as well it would more help to tell stories to people . there was a glass bowl in the museum, with water in it. Drops dripped from the ceiling, representing the amount of children who died during the war, which was 1.5 million. I was very moved through this expressed in this way, rather than just photos. I thought that Japan isn’t related with Jewish people , but Japanese person Chiune Sugihara issued visas to many Jews who were persecuted by Nazi Germany and he helped them escape. I was surprised to learn that a Japanese person was also involved. the words from the people who survived from holocaust remain in my heart; “It is easy to respect and have empathy for people who are similar to you. Your challenge is to do the same for those who may be different from you.” War and murder should not happen. We must not forget this . I believe it is the most important thing.
