学校：Bishop Druitt College（オーストラリア）

期間：２月１日～４月２７日

先週はオーストラリアでの学校生活が終わり、秋休みに入りました。二ヶ月半という期間は長そうに見えて、実際はすごくあっという間でした。最初は英語が全く喋れず、生徒とも、あんまりうまくいっていなかったけど、一生懸命英語を話すうち、真剣に話を聞いてくれたり、喋りかけてくれるようになりました。中には、自分が答えやすいように、日本の文化や生活についてわかりやすく聞いてくる人もいました。そのような会話の中では、自分の国について改めて知ったり、相手の文化についても知れるので、とても充実したものとなりました。オーストラリアにきて、特に、日本のアニメ制作技術、自動車産業、歴史など、凄いなと思いました。学校生活の中で一番楽しかったのが、フリーピリオドという、学生の何人かは授業を受けなくていい時間があり、その中で6人ぐらい集まってバスケを1時間くらいやるというものでした。ラグビーをやっている人とやるので、何度か怪我をしそうになりました。結構やんちゃな人が多かったけど、それはそれで、とても楽しかったです。二ヶ月たち、英語の能力が伸びたかわからないけど、それ以外の人間性や思考力など、生きていく上での力をつけることができました。丁寧に勉強を教えてくれた日本語の先生や親切にしてくれた友達に感謝の気持ちでいっぱいです。

Last week, I finished school life in Australia and fall break started. Period of two months looks long but actually I felt it very short. I could not speak English well in the first so, I didn’t get along with BDC students. I spoke English as hard as I can and then, people listened to what I said seriously and got to talk to me. Some of them asked me about Japanese culture and life because it is easy for me to answer it. In conversation like that, I was able to know about what didn’t know of my country, I could also know their culture so, it was great time. I thought technology of making anime, automotive industry and Japanese history are amazing through spending time in Australia. Most fun thing in high school life is to play basketball with 6 people in the free period which some people don’t need study at. I played it with rugby players so, my body almost were injured. They are little rough even so, it was fun. I do not know about how much my English improve but other than that, my thinking ability and human nature get better. I fill with feeling of grateful to my Japanese teacher teaches English to me and friends are kind.
