4月3日から6日までスクールキャンプがありました。CCGSのスクールキャンプでは、携帯やシャワーなどがなく、とても過酷な生活を4日間過ごします。日本ではこのような経験をする機会があまりないのでとても楽しみでした。
私は、マウンテンバイクと、カヌーをやりました。今までやったことがなかったので、みんなにしっかりついていけるか不安はありましたが、チームの人達が気にかけてくれたおかげで楽しくできました。マウンテンバイクでは、1日目に2キロ、2日目には14キロ走りました。気温は暑く、体力的にもきつかったけれど、みんなで励まし合いながら目標を達成できました。カヌーでは、3日目に16キロ、4日目に6キロ漕ぎました。カヌーは想像していた以上に難しく、ハードでした。途中で雨が降りどうなってしまうのかと思いましたが、とてもいい思い出になりました。
また、ご飯は自分たちで作りました。班ごと役割を決めて、料理長、副料理長、材料を切る人に分担をしました。自分たちで作った料理はとても美味しく感じました。
夜の自由時間では今まで話したことのない人たちとも話すことができたり、もっと仲良くなることができたと思います。本当にたくさんの経験ができました。
私たち留学生を行かせてくれたCCGSの先生方、支えてくれた友達には感謝しかありません。
これから約2週間の休みがあるので、あと2週間と少ししか学校に通えないけれど、もっとたくさんの思い出を作っていきたいです。
また、ホストマザーがイースターでチョコレートとぬいぐるみをプレゼントしてくれました。
日本ではお祝いをする機会がないのでとても嬉しかったです。
I had a school camp from April 3rd to 6th. At the CCGS school camp, we spent four days in a very harsh life statue without cellphones or showers. I really looked forward to it because I don’t have such an opportunity to experience something like this in Japan.
I did mountain biking and canoeing which I had never done before, so I was worried about whether I would be able to keep up with everyone. On the mountain bike, I did 2km on day 1 and 14km on day 2. The temperature was hot and physically demanding, but we were able to achieve our goals while we encouraged each other. In the canoeing, I paddled 16 km on the third day and 6 km on the fourth day. Canoeing was harder than I had imagined. I wondered what would had happened if it rained on the way, but it turned out to be a very good memory.
We also made our own rice. We decided on roles for each team, and divided the roles into the head chef, the helper, and the chopper. The food we cooked was very delicious.
I talked to people I had never talked to before and got to know my friends better than before during my free time at night. I really had a lot of experiences.
I am grateful to the CCGS teachers who let us international students go, and to my friends who supported us.
I have about two weeks of holiday , so I can only go to school for a little more than two weeks, but I want to make more memories.
Also, my host mother gave me chocolate and stuffed toy as Easter gift.
I don’t have an opportunity to celebrate Easter. So, I was very happy.
