活動報告

先週の週末はジェイミーという友達の誕生日パーティーがありました。前に一緒にテニスをしたり、学校でよく話しかけてくれたりと、とても優しい人で、家族もとても親切でした。また、音楽・スポーツ・映画などジェイミーの趣味は幅広く、話していてとても面白いです。家に入り、部屋の案内をされたときは、レゴのスタフォーズ部屋を見せてもらいました。数えきれないほどのキャラクターや映画に登場する飛行機があり、完全に趣味の域を超えて、工場みたいでした。そして、細かいところまで再現されていて、全く飽きませんでした。一つの趣味のために部屋を使うなんて今まで考えられず、とても驚きました。ジェイミーの家はとても大きく、芝生も広いため、みんなで卓球・バスケ・サッカーなどさまざまなスポーツをしました。卓球をした時は、ジェイミーの弟に負け結構悔しかったです。スポーツをする中で、お互いについて深く知ることができました。夜はみんなで建てたテントで寝ました。二つテントがあったのに何故か、小さいテントに六人居ました。僕はみんなより早めに寝たけれど、寒くて起きてしまいました。ジェイミーが自分の布団を奪っていたので、5度寝ぐらいしました。結局、次の日の朝は休めた感覚がしませんでした。2日間、友達といろんなことをして、沢山英語を学ぶことができました。一ヶ月後日本に帰らなければならないけど、また会いたいなと思える友達ができてよかったです。ジェイミーの家族が日本を訪れた時は、日本のあちこちを案内してあげたいです。

Last weekend, Jamie’s birthday party was held. I have played tennis with him previously and he sometimes talks to me in high school. Him and his family were very kind to everybody. It is fun to talk with Jamie because his hobbies are extensive. For instance, music, sport and watching movies. When we went into his house and I got him to show me his house, I saw a room that was filled with Star Wars LEGO. There were gazillions of planes and characters that appear in movies, it was like factory. When he has a hobby he makes it extreme. They had attention to detail so, I was never tired of watching them. I couldn’t imagine using a room to a one of hobby. I was surprised. Jamie’s house is very big and had a large lawn so, we could play various sports. For example, table tennis, basketball, soccer, etc. When I played table tennis and lost Jamie’s brother, I was frustrated. I could get deeper relationships through the sports. At night, I slept in a tent we built. There were two tents but six people were in a tent. I went to bed earlier than the other people but I got up later because I was cold. Jamie stole my bed so, I slept 5 times. Actually, I couldn’t feel rest tomorrow morning. I did a lot of things with my friend and learned English a lot for two days. I have to go back to Japan a month later but I am happy that I could make friend who I want to meet again. If Jamie and his family visit Japan, I would like to take them around Japan.
