活動報告

オーストラリアの生活も約二ヶ月が過ぎ、人との会話も少しできるようになりました。そして、この二ヶ月の間にとてもさまざまな経験をすることが出来ました。最近は家の周りで運動をしたり、散歩をしたりするのが日課で、これが意外に楽しいです。外に出ると、やっぱり、オーストラリアの自然に圧倒されます。オーストラリア固有の植物が数多くあり、すごく魅了されます。中でも、ゴーストガムという木は皮が白く、とても綺麗だなと思いました。お化けみたいだからその名がつけられ、夜になり光を当てると、反射するという、面白い木でもあります。家の付近にある木のほとんどがユウカリの木で脱皮をしているみたいに木の皮が禿げています。また、オーストラリアの空気はとても澄んでおり、晴れの日に夜に外に出れば、沢山の綺麗な星を見ることが出来ます。今はオーストラリアは秋で一番いい季節とは言えないものの、綺麗な天の川をはっきりとみることができます。日本では中々見られない風景だと思いました。残りの一ヶ月、オーストラリアでしか経験できないことを、積極的に見たり感じたりしていきたいです。

I have been in Australia for two months now and I am now able to talk in English a little. I have experienced many things in the two months I’ve been here. Recently, I have been exercising and walking around the house. It’s more fun than you would think. Outside of the house, I am overwhelmed by Australian nature. There are many kinds of unique plants in Australia. I’m very fascinated by that. I thought that a tree called Ghost Gum was especially beautiful. It is called a ghost gum because it looks like a ghost. The tree is interesting because if you shine a light at it, it will shine back. The trees around our house are all types of eucalyptus, the bark of them fade like casting off the skin. The air in Australia is crisp so if it’s clear and I get out of house I can see a lot of beautiful stars. Now, the season in Australia is fall. I can’t say it’s the best season but we can see beautiful stars. I think I may not be able to see a sight like it in Japan. For the rest of the month, I would like to see and feel things that can only be experienced in Australia.
