学校：Bishop Druitt College（オーストラリア）

期間：２月１日～４月２７日（３か月）

先週、僕はコフスハーバーで有名なツリートップスアドベンチャーというところに行きました。オーストラリアの自然を楽しみながら感じられるという場所で大人から子供までそこで週末を過ごしていました。遊び方はとてもシンプルで、ただ木から木へと移動してゴールまでたどりつくというものでした。最初は簡単だと思ってたけど、コースの難易度が上がるにつれて体への負担が大きくなり、とてもいい運動になりました。小学生のころに戻ったみたいでとてもワクワクしました。またオーストラリアの木は日本の木と違ってとても高いため、セイフティーロープをつけても慣れるまでとても怖かったです。現にホストファミリーのお母さんは木には登らず写真や動画を撮ってました。僕たちは近くにある展望台に行きました。コフスハーバーの街を一望できる場所としてとても人気でした。そこでの景色はとても綺麗で海や住宅、バナナ農園、山などすべてを見ることができました。年をとればとるほどこういう自然から学ぶ遊びはしなくなってくるので大人になる前の高校生の時期に来れてよかったです。この体験を通して僕はオーストラリアの自然の凄さや、日本との生態系の違いを学び感じることができました。

Last week, we went to tree tops adventure that is famous in Coffs Harbour. All people from children to adults spend the time at the place where we can feel Australian nature while having a fun on the weekend. The way to play is very simple, just moving between the trees to reach the goal. First time, I thought it’s easy for me but as I progressed to the next level, it got harder. It was good exercise. I felt like my childhood so, I was very happy. Australian trees are much taller than Japanese ones. I was afraid even when I used safety rope until I got used to it. The mother in my host family took photos and videos and did not climb trees. We went to an observation deck. It’s a popular place as we are able to see Coffs Harbour. We were able to see the everything. For instance, sea, banana farm, mountains and the town. I’m happy to go there during high school because as I get older, I may not be able to do things like learning from nature. I learnt about Australian nature and difference of the Australian ecosystem and the Japanese one through this experience.
