This week was my last week of studying abroad.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, I went shopping for souvenirs. There were many FIFA World Cup-related products displayed in stores in Vancouver, and I could really feel the excitement surrounding the World Cup.
On my last night, my host parents and I watched the movie Mamma Mia! after dinner. After the movie, my host parents gave me a letter. I was very happy and touched because I had not expected them to prepare one for me. I read the letter on my flight from Vancouver to Narita, and I was deeply moved by the kind and heartfelt words they had written. As I read it, I felt overwhelmed with gratitude for everything my host parents had done for me, such as warmly welcoming me into their home and providing a comfortable environment throughout my stay. It was such a wonderful experience that it is difficult to put my feelings into words.
During my study abroad experience, I made many new connections and built valuable relationships through my host family, ballet school, and language school. Meeting people from different backgrounds broadened my horizons and helped me grow as a person. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported me throughout this journey, especially the teachers at Ueda Nishi High School. Without their support, I would not have been able to have such a meaningful and fulfilling experience.
I will continue to apply the knowledge, skills, and experiences I gained during my study abroad to my future high school life and my career path after graduation.
今週は留学生活最後の週でした。
火曜日、水曜日はお土産を買いに行きました。
バンクーバーのお店には、サッカーワールドカップの関連グッズがたくさん並んでいて、ワールドカップの盛り上がりを感じました。
最終日の夕食後にはホストペアレントと共に「マンマミーヤ」の映画を鑑賞しました。そして、鑑賞後にホストペアレントが手紙を渡してくれました。手紙を用意してくれるとは思っていなかったため、とても嬉しかったです。バンクーバーから成田に向かうフライト中に読みましたが、ホストペアレントの優しさが溢れる内容で胸がいっぱいになりました。手紙を読み、温かく迎えてくれたこと、快適な環境を提供してくれたことなどホストペアレントへの感謝の気持ちが込み上げてきました。言葉に表すことが難しいくらい楽しい時間でした。
留学中はホストペアレント、バレエスクール、語学学校などを通じて新たな出会い、多くの繋がりが生まれました。留学中の出会いが自分の視野を広げる大きなきっかけになったと思います。
上田西高校の先生方をはじめたくさんの方々に支えて頂き充実した留学生活を送ることができ心から感謝しています。
この留学で得た学びや経験をこれからの高校生活、そして卒業後の進路に活かしていきたいです。
