【オーストラリアCCGS留学ウィークリーレポート⑧】藤森愛梨さん

週末には去年上田西高校に留学しに来ていたペニーとドラと一緒にシドニーに遊びに行きました。
久しぶりにペニーに会えてすごく嬉しかったです。2人とも日本語がすごく上手くて、私も英語を頑張ろうと思いました。お昼にラーメンを食べたのですが、30ドルもしてびっくりしました笑
また、今週は電子機器禁止のキャンプに行ってきました。
私のグループではアブセーリングとクライミングとハイキングに挑戦しました。
3泊4日のキャンプで、検索もできないし周りに頼れる日本語話者もいないので、初めてすべてを自分の語学力だけで乗り切った4日間でした。聞き取れず困っていると周りの人が簡単な英語に直してくれて嬉しかったです。素晴らしい経験と機会でした。
Over the weekend, I went to Sydney with Kaede, Penny, and Dora. Penny and Dora came to Ueda Nishi High School as exchange students last year.
I was really happy to see Penny again after such a long time. Both of them are very good at Japanese, and it made me want to work harder on my English as well. We had ramen for lunch, and I was surprised because it cost 30 dollars.
Also, this week I went on a camp where electronic devices were not allowed. My group tried abseiling, climbing, and hiking.
It was a three-night, four-day camp, and since I couldn’t use the internet and there were no Japanese speakers around me, it was the first time I managed everything using only my own language skills. When I had trouble understanding, people around me rephrased things in simpler English, which made me really happy. It was a wonderful experience and a great opportunity.
