This week, students from the short-term study abroad program arrived. I was very happy to see my friends and teachers again after a long time.
On Wednesday, we went to a reptile park. I had the chance to touch koalas and kangaroos, which was an amazing experience. There were many animals that I had never seen in Japan, and it was very interesting.
After that, I helped take care of horses at the home of a friend of my host family. It was a great opportunity to experience something new.
When I got home, I showed my host family the photos and videos I had taken, and they were very happy to see them. My host family has many pets, and they really love animals and nature. For example, when a spider appeared in the house on Tuesday morning, they were not surprised at all. Only the German girl who is traveling around the world and I were scared.
Life in Australia is sometimes surprising and challenging, but it is also very enjoyable.
今週は短期留学の人たちが来ました。久しぶりに友達や先生に会えて嬉しいです。
水曜にはレプタイルパークに行ってきました。コアラやカンガルーに触りました。日本では見たことがない動物たちがいて面白かったです。
そして、そのあとはホストファミリーの知り合いのお家で馬のお世話のお手伝いをしました。
家に帰ってからホストファミリーに動画と写真を見せると、彼らはとても喜んでくれました。また、私のホストファミリーはたくさんのペットを飼っていて、動物や自然が大好きです。火曜の朝に家に蜘蛛が出た時も全く驚かなくて、私と世界を旅しているドイツから来たお姉さんだけが怖がっていました。
オーストラリアでの生活は驚くことや大変なこともたくさんあるけれど、とても楽しいです。
