It’s been three weeks since I came to Australia. It’s been a week since school started. The school started Tuesday. There were many things that were different from Uedanishi high school to BDC. First, BDC doesn’t have homerooms. We go to different classrooms for different subjects. This means we can sit with friends in different classes because there is no assigned seating arrangement. The timetable has two break times. The first break is after periods one and two. Also, there was also self-study time when I studied in the library. We eat snacks and lunch at break time. I was surprised that most people wear accessories such as necklaces and bracelets at school. Before going to BDC, I asked Penny and friends who were studying abroad at BDC about life and the environment but I was surprised when it came to that environment. I exchanged Instagram with a few people and talked a little. I want to be able to talk more from now on and get along with others.
I went to eat dinner with Sam and Jono’s friends on the weekend. It was delicious. I was able to have a good time and talk about Australian animals.
There was a cockroach in my room on that night. Cockroaches are also large, unlike Japanese cockroaches. It suddenly came out and moved so much that I was really surprised.
Also, I’m getting along with Fred the cat little by little. I’m very happy that he’s getting closer than before and I can hold him. I want to get along better.
I think I was able to talk on my own this week more than last week. As I live, English words that I have never heard have gradually increased. If there is an English word that I don’t understand, I want to be able to understand it on the spot and use that English word.

オーストラリアに来てから3週間が経ち、学校が始まってから1週間が経ちました。BDCには西高とは違うところが沢山ありました。
まず、BDCにはホームルームがありません。なので、ロッカーも外にありずっと移動教室です。そのため、席は自由で友達と隣で一緒に授業を受けることができます。時間割は休み時間が2回あります。1回目の休み時間は1、2時間目の後、2回目は3、4時間目後にあります。休み時間にはおやつやお昼を食べています。また、図書館で自習の時間もありました。ネックレスやブレスレットなどのアクセサリーをほとんどの人が身につけていることにびっくりしました。
BDCに行く前に、ペニーやBDCに留学していた友達から生活や環境の様子を聞いていましたが、いざその環境になると驚くことが沢山あります。学校では何人かの人とインスタを交換し、少し話しました。これからもっと話せるようになり仲良くなりたいです。
休日には、ホストファミリーのセームとジョナの友達と夕食を食べに行きました。とても美味しかったです。オーストラリアの動物の話などしてくれ、楽しい時間を過ごすことができました。
その日の夜に私の部屋にゴキブリがでました。オーストラリアのゴキブリも日本のものとは違い大きかったです。突然出てきて、沢山動くゴキブリだったためとてもびっくりしました。
また、猫のフレッドとも少しずつ仲良くなることができました。前より少しずつ近づいてきてくれるようにもなり抱っこすることもできとっても嬉しいです。もっと仲良くなりたいです。
今週は先週よりも自分から話をすることができたと思います。生活していく中で、今まで聞いたことのない英単語も少しずつ増えてきました。分からない英単語が出てきたら、その場で分かるようにしてその英単語も使って生活できるようになりたいです。
