【BDC交換留学 ウィークリーレポート①】内堀雪花さん

I arrived in Australia on April 19th. I was a little worried before arriving, but I’m glad I arrived safely. The in-flight meal on the plane was very delicious. However, the time when the in-flight meal was served seemed a little strange. I also realized once again that I don’t like the floating feeling of an airplane.
After that, my host family Daisy’s family welcomed me warmly, so I felt very relieved. In the evening, I took a walk with my host mother Kate and was able to see many kangaroos and the beautiful sea. For dinner, they made me the meat pie I requested. It was my first time eating it, but it was very delicious. After that, I talked and played a lot with Daisy and her brother Ace. The conversation between the two is very interesting. And today, the second day, was Easter, so I looked for chocolate and got a lot of it. Chocolate is really delicious. If you have the opportunity, please try it. After that, I went to the beach. I got the impression that the waves of the sea in Australia were very rough. There were many dogs on the beach, and it was called “Dog City”. There, I was surprised that my host family’s dog was very cute and very well behaved. It’s only my second day in Australia, but I’ve already had a lot of experience and learned a lot, and my days are very fulfilling.
4月19日にオーストラリアに到着しました。到着するまでは少し不安でしたが、無事に到着して良かったです。飛行機の機内食はとても美味しかったです。しかし、機内食が提供される時間帯が少し不思議に感じました。また飛行機の浮遊感が苦手だということも改めて実感しました。
その後はホストファミリーのデイジーのご家族が温かく迎え入れてくれたので、とても安心しました。夕方はホストマザーのKateと散歩をし、たくさんのカンガルーと美しい海を見ることができました。夕食には、リクエストしたミートパイを作ってくれました。初めて食べましたが、とても美味しかったです。その後は、Daisyと弟のAceとたくさん話したり、遊んだりしました。二人の会話はとても面白いです。そして2日目の今日はイースターだったので、チョコレートを探してたくさんゲットしました。チョコレートは本当に美味しいです。機会があればぜひ試してみてください。その後はビーチに行きました。オーストラリアの海の波はとても荒い印象を受けました。ビーチにはたくさんの犬がいて、「ドッグ・シティ」と呼ばれていました。そこで、ホストファミリーの犬がとても可愛くて、とても良い子なことに驚きました。オーストラリアに来てまだ2日目ですが、すでにたくさんの経験と学びがあり、とても充実した日々を送っています。
