学校：Central Coast Grammar School（オーストラリア）

期間：2月2日～4月16日

僕はCCGSで最後のバスケットボールの試合をしました。この試合は12年生の最後の試合だったので、十分なプレータイムをもらえませんでした。しかし、シドニーで1番強いチームと対戦できたことは素晴らしい経験でした。身長やプレースタイル、スキルなど、すべてが日本とは全く違っていて驚きました。これらの経験は、僕の視野を広げてくれました。

日曜日にペリカンを見に行きました。とても大きく、日本では見ることのできないものを見られて楽しかったです。その後、アイスクリームを食べました。日本にはないアイスクリームの味もあり、とても面白かったです。

月曜日にホストファミリーが変わりました。前のホストファミリーがとても恋しいですが、新しいホストファミリーはとても親切で、居心地が良いです。彼らはインド人なので、インドの食べ物や文化を体験できて、とても面白いです。

火曜日にはスイミングカーニバルがありました。それはとても面白く、良い経験になりました。オーストラリアでは泳ぐことが一般的のため、みんなが泳げることに驚きました。僕は背泳ぎをしました。とても疲れましたが、友達が応援してくれたのでとても楽しかったです。

I played a basketball last game at CCGS. This game was last gale of year 12 so I didn’t get enough playing time. But playing against the strongest team in Sydney was a great experience. I was surprised by many things, such as their height, playing style, and skills, which were completely different from Japan.  These experiences broadened my perspective.

I went to see pelicans on Sunday. They were very big, and I got to see something that I can’t see in Japan. And then we ate ice cream. There were also flavor of ice cream that don’t exist in Japan, that was really interesting.

My host family changed on Monday. I really miss my previous host family. But my new host family are really kind so it’s very comfortable. They are Indian, so I get to experience Indian food and culture, which is really interesting.

There was swimming carnival on Tuesday. It was very interesting and a great experience. I was surprised that everyone could swim because swimming is common activity in Australia. I swam the backstroke. It was really tiring, but it was a lot of fun because my friends cheered me on.
