【オーストラリアCCGS留学ウィークリーレポート⑧】長須結湖さん

四日間のキャンプを境に、オーストラリアは秋休みに入り学校生活が終わってしまうのでみんなに国旗にメッセージを書いてもらいました。最初は不安だった留学も今はたくさんお友達ができて、日本に帰るのが惜しいほどです。キャンプの後、最後の滞在先の家に引っ越しました。二匹のラブラドールの女の子がいます。引っ越してきた次の日はイースターでほとんどのお店が閉まっていたのでずっとお家にいました。日本ではほとんど祝われないイースターがオーストラリアではとても大きなイベントで、学校や仕事もお休みになる程だと初めて知り驚きました。ハナという女の子のお家にステイしていて、一緒にレゴブロックを作ったり、ダズリングという身の回りの化粧品やイヤホンなどをラインストーンでデコレーションする今海外で流行っているものをしました。おやつにラズベリーやイチゴをチョコレートでコーティングしてくれました。帰国するまでの短い間、一日一日を大切に無駄なく過ごしたいと思います。
After the four-day camp, school in Australia was ending for the autumn break, so everyone wrote messages on the national flag. At first I was anxious about studying abroad, but now I’ve made so many friends that I’m sad to go back to Japan. After the camp, I moved into my final accommodation. There are two female Labrador Retrievers there. The day after I moved in was Easter, so most of the shops were closed, and I stayed home all day. I was surprised to learn for the first time that Easter, which is hardly celebrated in Japan, is a huge event in Australia, to the point that schools and workplaces are closed. I’m staying at the home of a girl named Hana, and together we built Lego blocks and did dazzling, which is a popular trend overseas where people decorate their cosmetics, earphones, and other personal items with rhinestones. For a snack, she coated raspberries and strawberries in chocolate. I want to cherish each and every day during this short time before I return home and make the most of it.
