Today I went to my first ever soccer match. The stadium was overflowing with people cheering for Australia, and I was sad to see so few people cheering for Japan. But that’s understandable, since this is Australia. So I cheered hard, determined not to be defeated by the numerical disadvantage. I was incredibly happy when Japan scored a goal. I also made friends with people I had just met there, and it was a valuable experience where I discovered the joy of watching sports for the first time.
今日は初めてのサッカー観戦に行きました。会場はオーストラリアを応援する人で溢れていて、日本を応援している人がとても少なくて悲しい気持ちになりました。でも当然です。ここはオーストラリアですからね。だから私は人数差に負けないように応援しました。日本に一点が入ったとき、めちゃくちゃ嬉しかったです。そこで会ったばかりの人とも仲良くなれて、スポーツ観戦の楽しさを初めて知ることができた貴重な体験になりました。
