Day 15
We had my first assembly at CCGS. It was much longer than the assembly at BDC. Mikuru’s host sister, Sofia, performed ballet at the assembly. Her dance was very beautiful and amazing. After that, the Year 10 students had a test, so we went to help in a Japanese class.

Day 16
I went to English class. We are studying King Lear by William Shakespeare. The English in this story is very old and difficult. Even when I read the Japanese translation, it is still hard to understand. But as I kept reading, I slowly understood the story, and it became fun.

Day 17
After school, I went bowling with Mikuru, Sofia, Sofia’s brother Hugo. Sofia-sensei from Ueda Nishi and her brother Harry were also there. I did not expect to see Sophia-sensei so soon, so I was very happy. Harry was very good at bowling. Hugo and I were not good at all. Lol.

Day 18
I went bowling again. This time, I went with Izzy, Yuko, and Hope’s family. Hope’s father was very good at bowling. I was not good again. I need more practice. Haha. I have not talked much with Hope yet, but I was happy that I could talk with her while bowling.

Day 19
I went to Reptile Park with Mikuru, Yuko, Izzy, and Izzy’s mother. There were many kinds of animals there. There were many crocodiles and snakes. I saw a koala for the first time. It was bigger than I expected, very fluffy, and very cute. We could also see kangaroos, but they were resting. Lol.

Day 20
We played volleyball in PE class. This time, we practiced basic skills like passing, not games. I was happy because I could enjoy playing volleyball with everyone. After that, I went to math class. We are studying factorization. It is harder than I expected, and I am struggling. Haha.

Day 21
I talked with Callum in sports class. He was very kind and easy to talk to. In class, we played something like cricket. I did not really understand the rules, but it was fun. After that, I went to geography class. We learned about biodiversity hotspots. These areas have lost 70% of their original plants.

Day15
CCGS での初めてのアッセンブリーがありました。BDCのアッセンブリーとは違いけっこう長い時間やっていました。みくるのホストファミリーのソフィアがアッセンブリーでバレエを披露していました。とても綺麗な踊りで凄かったです。その後はYear10の生徒はテストがあったので僕たちは日本語の授業の手伝いに行きました。

Day16
英語の授業に行きました。今はリア王というシェイクスピアの作品を学習しています。この作品にはとても難しく古い英語が使われていて日本語訳を見ても理解するのがけっこう大変です。でも読んでいくうちに物語の内容がだんだんわかってきて楽しかったです。

Day17
放課後にみくるとソフィアとソフィアのお兄さんヒューゴとボウリングに行きました。ボウリングには上田西にいたソフィア先生とソフィア先生の弟のハリーもいました。こんなに早くソフィア先生と会えると思っていなかったのでとても嬉しかったです。ボウリングはハリーがとても上手でした。僕とヒューゴは全然上手くできませんでした。笑

Day18
昨日に引き続きボウリングに行きました。昨日とは違い、イゾルトとゆことホープの家族と行きました。ホープのお父さんはとてもボウリングが上手でした。僕はまた上手くできませんでした。もっと特訓しないとです笑。ホープとはまだあまり話せていないけどボウリングの時に話せてよかったです。

Day19
レプタルパークにみくる、ゆこ、イゾルト、イゾルトのお母さんと行きました。レプタルパークには色々な生き物がいました。ワニやヘビがいっぱいました。そしてコアラを初めてみました。意外と大きかったし、すごくもふもふしていて可愛かったです。カンガルーもみられるのですが、カンガルーはお休みでした。笑家に帰った後はオーストラリアのカーレースをテレビで見ました。なかなかクレイジーでおもしろかったです。

Day20
体育でバレーボールをやりました。前回とは違い、試合ではなくパスなどの基礎練習をしました。みんなと楽しみながらバレーボールができたので良かったです。その後は数学の授業に行きました。数学は因数分解をやっています。意外に難しくて苦戦しています。笑

Day21
Callumとスポーツの授業で話しました。彼はとても優しくて話しやすかったです。授業ではクリケットみたいなのをやりました。ルールがよくわからなかったけれど楽しかったです。その後は地理の授業に行きました。バイオダイバーシティホットスポットについて学びました。これらの地域は本来持っている植生の70%を失っている地域だそうです。
