Last week was my last week at BDC. The timetable was the same as usual, and all the classes were normal, so it didn’t feel like the last week. But one girl from a high school in Tokyo came only for that week. She followed the Year 10 timetable, so l didn’t have many chances to see her. It was her first time going overseas, and she came alone, so I thought she was really amazing.
Friday was the last day, so we had a school assembly in the morning for about one and a half hours. After that, there was a festival. The assembly was a little boring, but I was very happy to hear that my friend and Daniel became the academic captains. At the festival, I played games and ate snacks with my friends and the girl from Tokyo. It was a really fun time.
The festival felt different from Japanese ones. Everyone was very friendly and enjoyed it freely, so I felt, “This is really like Australia,” haha. I was also happy because I could talk with the girl from Tokyo about recent things and the future. Meeting her in Australia made me think again that we never know when or where we will meet someone, so I want to treasure each meeting.
School is over now, but this week I will go to Sydney and Central Coast again, so I’m really looking forward to it. In Central Coast, I’m going to hang out with some my friends from CCGS, so l’m super excited!!!

先週がBDCでの最後の週でした。時間割はいつも通りで、授業も全く変わらなかったので、あまり「最後の週」という感じがしませんでした。でも、東京の高校から来た女の子が1人いて、その子は最後の週だけ来ていました。彼女はYear10の時間割に沿って行動していたので、私はあまり彼女と会う機会がありませんでした。彼女は初めての海外で1人で来ていたのですごいと思いました。
金曜日が最終日だったので、朝に1時間半ほどの全校集会がありました。その後はフェスティバルがありました。集会は少し退屈でしたが、僕の友達がアカデミックキャプテンに選ばれたことを知って、とても嬉しかったです。お祭りでは、友達や東京から来た女の子と一緒にゲームをしたり、お菓子を食べたりして、楽しい時間を過ごしました。
お祭りの雰囲気は日本とは違って、みんながとてもフレンドリーで、本当に自由に楽しんでいる感じがして、とてもオーストラリアだなと感じました笑。
東京から来た子とは、最近の出来事や、将来のことなどいろいろな話をすることができて、本当に嬉しかったです。この子にオーストラリアで出会って、「人はいつどこで誰に出会うかわからないから、一つひとつの出会いを大切にしていきたい」と改めて思いました。
学校は終わってしまいましたが、今週はシドニーとセントラルコーストに行く予定なので、とても楽しみにしています。セントラルコーストではCCGSの友達と遊ぶ予定なのでとても楽しみです！！！
