【BDC交換留学ウィークリーレポート④】内堀雪花さん

今週は学校で母の日のイベントが木曜日に行われました。朝食は会場でとることができ、朝の7:30頃には既に沢山の人が会場に集まり賑わっていました。会場は普段、体育館として使われていますがその日はとても綺麗に装飾されていて、「I ❤︎mother」と書かれている写真スポットもありました。また、スクリーン画面には親子で撮った写真がいくつか流れていて、音楽は生徒がピアノを弾いて歌っていました。母の日のイベントに参加するのは初めてで新鮮でしたがとても素晴らしいイベントだと感じました。
そして、別の日には、はじめてBDCにあるカフェテリアに行き、「ラミントン」というスイーツを奢ってもらいました。不思議な食感をしていてとても気に入りました。
そして、日本語クラスではよく英語のリーディング練習をしますが、日本語にはない発音記号が沢山あるため発音するのが難しくよく指摘されます。そこで、発音の大切さを知りました。発音も少しでも改善できるように頑張りたいです。
This week, the Mother’s Day event was held at school on Thursday. Breakfast was available at the venue, and by 7:30 in the morning, many people had already gathered there and it was bustling. The venue is usually used as a gymnasium, but on that day it was very beautifully decorated, and there was a photo spot with the words “I ❤︎mother” written on it. Also, some photos of parents and children were displayed on the screen, and the students played the piano and sang. It was my first time participating in a Mother’s Day event, so it was a fresh experience, but I thought it was a wonderful event.
On another day, I went to the cafeteria at BDC for the first time and was treated to a sweet called “lamington”. It had a strange texture and I really liked it.
In Japanese class, we often practice reading English, but it is often pointed out that it is difficult to pronounce because there are many phonetic symbols that do not exist in Japanese. There, I learned the importance of pronunciation. I would like to work hard to improve my pronunciation even a little.
